I love this beyond reasoning. And you. Definitely you. And Sarah was right, it's like a graphic novel. I can squee about technique and clip choice later, when I'm not quite so flattened by the emotional steamrollerness of the... er, emotional content. I did mention that I was incoherent with the awesomeness, yeah?

I've never followed SG1 because, well, it's so huge that it's frightening. However, I do know a bit about it, and I like your stuff enough (& that song too, because, OMG THE ANGST - it's one I don't listen to too often because each time it's a punch in the gut) to DL this.
Anbd, well, wow.
Also, you're not afraid to cut songs, and yet you've done it seamlessly... although knowming the song beforehand, I couldn't help feeling something was missing, and then - WOW it fits the theme OMG clever!
So... kudos!

I've actually been doing the Not-So-Lightning Summaries of SG-1 for my other friends list, since I'm dragging a few of my non-fannish friends into SG-1 kicking and screaming, so maybe I'll repost them over here once I get through them all. *g* (If you are interested -- it is perfectly possible to pick up with season 9 and be reasonably able to follow along, once you know a few basic facts. They rebooted the universe, more or less, at the end of season 8, and season 9 started a whole new arc.)

I had originally cut the song after the third verse, and it pained me to have to crop it down further, because the third verse is so perfect for Jack. But the bridge would have been a slow-moving nightmare of slog that bogged down the whole video, and it would have been way too long to be able to sustain the mood. (Also, I would have had to break at least one of the three promises I made myself when I started this: 1). I would only use season 6 footage, 2). I would not use any footage from one particular episode, and 3). I would not use any clip ( ... )
