I've always thought that Jack and Lazarus Long would get along quite nicely with each other!

I think they'd get along before and after Lazarus tried to run a scam, but definitely not during. Jack would be mad as hell during it, even if he could understand and excuse it later; he hates being played.

And Hilda and Ishtar would take turns smacking both of them.

That sound you hear? That is the sound of me squeeing that omfg, you're writing the pilot stuff!. Yay! It might not be what you were hoping to focus on writing at the moment, but rest assured that at least one of your fans is thrilled to hear it.

And there can never be too much Heinlein. If he could have written women decently well, he would be my favorite author. As it is, well, whenever I re-read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress I have to go read Some Origins of the Fire by liviapenn.

I saw a thing about a temper tantrum room on the news a couple weeks ago - someone in the PacNW (Seattle area, maybe?) opened one recently, though they called it something different. it sure sounds like a good idea, and fairly easy to set up.

Is your LJ ID "Dine" as in "eat", or "Diné" as in "the people"?

neither, actually, though both are common assumptions. it's a family thing - two syllables, pronounced "dye-knee", which isn't at all obvious from the spelling, so I've had tons of chances to clarify

ages ago my AIM handle started with dine, and I was randomly pinged by a guy in New Mexico, who assumed I was Diné.

* Various and sundry developments this week have reminded me of a great business idea I first had back in college: temper tantrum rooms. Rent a storefront somewhere, invest in a hell of a lot of padding and protective gear, wholesale-buy some cheap dishes and awful porcelain figures, charge by the half hour to let people smash them up. The liability insurance would be killer, but I See A Great Need (tm).

OMG, I had the same idea years ago! This is scary.

Major squee on the Cam X302 story!
