Just curious after a 10 year or so hiatus, is anyone on what's left of my friends list still active? If so, what's going on?! My life has taken some dramatic turns since I last used Livejournal, but I'm curious to see if anyone I used to talk to on a regular basis still uses this rather old school platform!! ❤️

I'm still here. However, I post on DreamWidth and cross-post here.

Twitter seems to be for news and info.

There are no communities on Tumblr, and w/o email notifications it's difficult to maintain a dialogue.

AO3 is just fic.

FB has many issues. :(

Nowhere else has such a good combo of personal blogs and comms, so I stay w/ the LJ/DW model. :)

My own life is a bit crazy right now.

I haven't posted in forever due to a combination of my life being perpetually stagnant, trying not to post nonconstructive negative stuff, & holy crap did this internet security thing crash & burn.
I still lurk for the lulz though, & living vicariously through others. :P

I've similarly come back to see who's about. I do like the idea again of having a semi-private platform for journalling and online friends. Twitter feels too open though I do love it.

I'm trying to get back into using LJ (and now also DW). It's just possible to express yourself much better on here than say on FB, IMO. (I still feel closer to people on my friends list here than the majority of my FB friends list, even though I've met most of the latter in real life, for instance.)
