I loved SG-1, but thought it was pretty much a goner when they got rid of O'Neill and General Hammond.

See, I thought the writing and acting improved when they brought in Ben Browder and Claudia Black. Of course, I hadn't been watching the series for a while at that point. It was exactly what I needed to jump back on.

Eh, some of my favorite SG-1 episodes were the little one-offs that strayed from the primary story of humans vs gou'ald. Mostly they served as some sort of comic relief. There was one in particular where some force on another planet is making Earth repeat the same day over and over, but only Teal'C and O'neill are aware of it. Knowing they can do anything they want without consequence (as at the end of the day, it will all reset, with no one else being any the wiser), they start doing crazy shit around the base.

Anyway, when the farscape crowd came along, and the Orii became the new bad guys, they pretty much did away with those types of episodes and the series became much more linear and focused, which is alright, but I always thought those little one-offs gave a much more human element to the characters.

Yeah, in the old days I liked the one-off eps more, too. I just really liked those actors and so I followed them (back) to SG-1.

You forgot to add, SG-1 with both casts (i'm one of those few who liked the show with both casts, although I admit, I leaned towards post farscape takeover.

I suggest checking out Stargate: Continuum movie.

That's selling Atlantis short. I didn't like it at first but it's really grown on me (well, bringing in Carter last season got me on board).

I just like what I like. I tend to be a bit of an Egypt-0-phile, and a nerd-0-phile, and I like Daniel Jackson. That character, and his choice of studies, made me start watching. I just wasn't as interested in other plot lines when he left.

..and now it seems like she's off-board again. I guess the actress is going to the Sanctuary SciFi series.

You didn't have an option for Stargate SG-1 (both with and without the Farscape cast) but I'm picking without :P

I just made it before and after. I guess you can have without after, hehe, but that may get confusing. Also, it how the series splits up for me.

Then again, I added Universe and the comics. :P
