Observations and Points of Whatever

I'm feeling a bit loopy and surly today. I think it's because I worked out too hard last night.

- Beat Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Again. It's been years, though, and I noticed a few things. 1) The Xbox version is more fun than the PC version. Could be a number of factors, including playing while jogging and having a controller that vibrates. 2) ( Read more... )

I'm always amused how the burden of evidence is upon me, the atheist.

Belief that every animal was in walking distance of Noah's front yard= reasonable.

Atheism= not reasonable.

Ok, got it.

I'm hardly tolerant of my own beliefs, I don't have to give anyone else's special consideration.

Correct.

The sad thing is, most atheists I know are very nice and tolerant sorts (the kind who recoil in horror from Christopher Hitchens, arguably the Ann Coulter of the Godless-- except he's better looking and more likable). Thus, society moves forward to the beats of countless magical drums.

Hitchens is a special kind of peckerhead as well.

Personally, at the end of the day any attempts to explain the machinations of the universe and any possible creator (in existence or not) from the perspective of our little mudball is like aliens trying to extrapolate the cumulative history of Carthaginian culture from a Zagnut bar wrapper that Neil Armstrong dropped on the moon. If there is a creator, it's going to be a freakier sumbitch than our little minds can even begin to conceive of so all current editions of the Big Kahuna make for a funny read and that's about it.

Gamer camping!

I am going to be taking a week of vacation in July sometime. That would be ideal for me. But I can swing about anything/time given notice.

If I start walking now, I might make it for July. The swimming might be tricky, mind.

My B-Day is on the 16th which is smack in the middle of the week. I have some friends (the real kind you can touch) who will be wanting to do something with me that weekend (19th-20th). So any other time is cool.

In regards to people FORCING their beliefs on me:
I found it's just mean to judge others who were raised/inbred on a belief system that makes them never think for themselves. Now if it's someone who is "Reborn", then they're just asshole & need to be drown.

What about the weekend before?

Yeah, I hear drowning is very effective. :)
