A Korean Odyssey (TV Series)

      I want to recommend to anyone who likes this sort of thing, the TV Show "A Korean Odyssey" - currently available on Netflix (at least in the USA). It is a romantic comedy drama, but don't let the "rom-com" put you off it. It is much more than that. Is funny, engaging, sometimes bitter-sweet or little sad here and there, but overall it is

My son got me interested in some asian, mostly korean shows. The kids today seem to like this kind of stuff and he knows I am interested in alternatives to the "always the same" storytelling of american TV shows and films. Actually I introduced him to some films years ago (loved "the eye" or the original of "The ring" ).

I watch a lot of movies and television series from other countries. it is so entertaining for me, and enlightening. I don't use dubbing. I prefer hearing the original spoken language and much prefer subtitles. The Koreans have come up with a lot of excellent storylines, movies, and EPIC television series. I am more than a little impressed. :)

I started with Japan and now am in Korea.
I usually watch english with english subtitles, asian original with english subtitles. The language sounds different, but quite pleasing.
