McDonald's, Money, and Moodiness

I went to McDonald's the other night. I ordered, paid, got my order and left, and then days later was going through my receipts for the week when I came across an odd thing. If they were getting mad at me when I returned the overpaid money, which was actually helping them not come up short at the end of their shift, I would begin to question what reason they may have had for overpaying me in the first place. Such as, do they short one drawer in the beginning of the shift, then give less change back later, and have it somehow balance out later? I don't know, I can't figure that out, but somehow the method of shorting some customers and giving more money back to others, can somehow work itself out in their favor. And by making a scene about getting back too much money you may have caught them in their game.

Hmmm. I don't see how that would work. I could see shorting a lot of people, but not giving some people more. *shrugs*

It's beyond me.

Never heard back from McD's either. I guess it doesn't matter to them.
