LJ and writing

Nov 21, 2013 23:15

There was a time I stopped writing here on Livejournal more than a post a day or so. It was that I wrote a post and then waited to see if I got any responses. I found that people mostly did not read back very far on their f/list. I wanted people to read what I wrote and was giving them time to read it. That was a mistake on my part because it ( Read more... )

I'm a bit OCD! I have to read back at everyone's posts since I last looked and then comment on what I can before I can post in my own journal!

Agreed!

I figure people should feel free to post WHAT they want, and as OFTEN as they want.

C'est ca!

Sometimes I can't tell if no one has anything to comment on my posts or if they just didn't see it. I usually assume they didn't see it. :(

Well, I do see everything. I just don't always have a comment. Most people don't read back, though. :/

I always say it's your blog, you can post or not post whatever you want provided you do filters for adult material/subjects.

I have found people are usually surprised when I go to their journals and read to catch up (if I've been away awhile)instead of just reading the last few posts and then asking what's up when I don't understand a situation that they're posting about currently. It takes two to keep a friendship up. One-sided friends that are all about them are boring.

I do journal catch-up mainly to keep the right person in mind as I read their posts. Reading through f-list is jumping back-and-forth between different people and when it's more than three people it's hard to keep track of who said what and what they're going through.

Yes, you do have go read back to understand what they are talking about. I find that I have to do it more often than not. I do try to read back through all of my friends, way back to the start of the journal. It does take me sometime to do though.

Are you serious?! All the way back to the beginning of the journal?? I've never had to go that far back.

It is not need, it is interest. I like to see progressions, how people change. LJ is the best for doing that. :)
