[As somebody who grew up in Oxford, I have only one favour to ask. Before doing public readings, please make sure you know how to pronounce the names of the colleges. Connie Willis pronounces Magdalen exactly as it is written, which is so very wrong.]
I do know how to say Magdalen (and even Balliol, despite having lived for nearly a decade on the Toronto street spelled the same but pronounced completely differently), but fortunately my Oxford colleges have also got not-real-Oxford-college names. Like Merlin and Plato and Marlowe. One consequence of setting your story in a Europe where Christianity never really took off is that you have to rename nearly everything.
Every now and then, I come back to see if you've posted something new. Even though you haven't yet, seeing your gorgeous book cover again reminds me that, every now and then, good things happen in the world. It makes my day.
