Loved both stories. Dru was freaking creepy, how he kept zoning out and touching Jared. *shivers*

Jared's body had to be close to giving out when Ben showed up. So glad to see he's close to getting medical treatment. I'm going to picture a happy ending where Jensen, Genevieve and Kripke even come to see him and get him transferred home. He'll be healed in time to start shooting season 8, too. Yep.

Good job!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked them! I thought Dru zoning out was creepy too, though I suspect I might have lifted that straight from Misery. I dunno, it's been ages since I read that...

I like your happy ending. Let's just all picture that so I don't have to research the kind of injuries Jared has and how much PT it will take to fix him. I like my Jared walking around long and strong :)

Nice! Good ideas. Just...and I don't want to turn you off of reading anything else in my journal but...I'm pretty much incapable of writing a happy ending. Though at least I've only written one death!fic. So that's...let's do the math...I've written 10 stories, the most upsetting of which could be considered to maybe have a happy ending ("Catch a Tiger.") So if you read my stories there's a 90% chance there'll be an unhappy ending. But only a 10% chance of stumbling across a death!fic.

Yeah, you're probably better off finishing this one in your head :D

Still, I'm so grateful that you read and enjoyed (?) and commented.

So happy you did a sequel and I LOVED it! I had to laugh at the sasquatch line, poor guy probably did resemble a beat up wild animal after all that horror. I felt so bad for Jared all delirious thinking he is Sam, not knowing what is real or not. Kinda mirrors the show, I love that. Awww when he was asking about his baby, it broke my heart. It could have meant anyone of the special people in his life. I would love you forever if this continued, but even ended here it was fantastic! :)

Aww, thanks so much! I was actually thinking he probably looked like a Yeti before I remembered he's been called Sasquatch (affectionately, I hope :) on the show. I think, though I'm not certain, that he thought maybe Ben was Sam when Ben asked who he was.

Re: the baby thing, I first posted this as an spnkink-meme fill, and they have really strict rules about mentioning real life kids. But the whole time I was writing Number One Fan, I was thinking that poor Jared was probably dying to get home to his kid. So this was my solution without naming the poor boy, who hopefully will never stumble upon LiveJournal :)

Thanks so much for reading! I found this story very unsettling to write, so I really appreciate comments.

Oh, wow, thanks so much for delurking to tell me you liked this! What a compliment. I'm glad the follow-up worked for you; I did not expect to revisit this but then I found I had a little more to say. So who knows, maybe there will be a sequel-sequel at some point :)

Thank you!!

ETA: I wrote a short prequel if you're interested: Waiting in the Wings

I'm so glad you liked it, I know lots of people don't read OPOV but it seemed like the best way for me to tell a little more of this story without having to delve too deeply in the minds of RPs :) And I felt like I had to at least mention the baby a little, even though I couldn't really in the first story.

Thank you so much for commenting! It's much appreciated.
