My review for the Supernatural episode “The Man Who Knew Too Much” is up at pinkraygun.com. Enjoy!

An excerpt:

“In comparison, in the little (and I mean little) scene where First Sam meets Soulless Sam, we get nothing that’s on par with what we got on Dean. The pair of Sams circle around each other alright, but the camera shoots them from a ( Read more... )

Well...I like the idea of having Dean kiss sleeping Sam's forehead to echo the pilot; that would have been beautiful (if censor-baiting.) And Sam in full flight is certainly breathtaking. On viewing this episode, my husband (far more likely to be able to constructively criticise Show) thought it would have packed more of a wallop to have had Sam walking and all-out sobbing, child-style, after absorbing I-remember-Hell!Sam. Which would have been powerful if somewhat upsetting.

Yes, it would have been censor-baiting, but I would accept anything like that...a touch or a word or a gesture...anything but the nothingness that we got!

I love your husband's idea of Sam, stumbling and weeping - but Show doesn't see thinks as clearly as your husband does! Too bad he doesn't write for TV! It would be so much better.

Absolutely, the more I think about the kiss, the more I think they should have gone with it. In my fervid fantasies, maybe it will appear as a deleted scene...it's not like those actors shy away from the *ahem* 'joke' kissing; at conventions they're at it like 17 year olds trying to get the girls' attention. Husband said thankyou! and believes you are correct, TV would be much better if he wrote it! (yes, the super-humble type ;)
Thanks for the review.
