I very much enjoyed your insight. I too, think of myself as a Pollyanna, and I still think the episode had some good points, and I just can't wait for the new season to find it's footing. Thanks for sharing! :)

I don’t know, maybe some couples counseling would be helpful.

I think I can relate; My relationship to canon for most of s5 was desperately in need of some couples therapy.

if Dean stops being hunter, he takes up being a mechanic,I didn't get it written this summer, and now probably never will, but in my head, there lives a story in which a post "Swan Song" Dean takes a job doing maintenance at the local community college, ends up enrolled (clearly, theirs is a universe where tuition breaks for employees are staggeringly generous!) in a class or two, and comes out the other side with a nursing degree. I can't decide if he'd end up in the surgical rehab wing of a Veterans' Hospital or in the ER at a children's hospital, but I think he'd do it well and find it fulfilling.
