Yesterday I made beer-cheese soup and a spinach torte. Since they were both delicious, I'm sharing my recipes.

The beer-cheese soup is based on Wisconsin Native's Beer Cheese Soup, but I changed it a bit:

That soup sounds really good! I may have to try making it this week now that our weather has cooled off a bit. :) Either that or gumbo.

This is strikingly similar -- beer, cheese, mustard -- to a sauce my sax player made at this year's Horace Phair in Portland. It was a big hit.
