This is a super-brief post in order to ask you guys about a new drama series that is airing in the UK. The Devil’s Whore. Is it worth watching? I know John Simm is in it, and seeing him in period clothes certainly raised my interest in this series *hee*.

Avoid watching Legend of the Seeker like the plague… It’s cheesy beyond belief; with not charm whatsoever… it is so godawful and boring!!! The only good thing it is that it features the wonderful New Zealand landscapes.

Hee! I must say - the poster looked so cheesy I didn't even try!

I have heard some good things about "Devil's Whore" but haven't seen myself.

Don't. It's bad. They pretty much copied the script of the original, only the actors aren't as good and I distinctly remember thinking "green screen!" at a few points (and yeah, everything's green screen these days, but when it's obvious enough that you think about it... hmmm).

Very rarely does the US remake overseas hit shows well (The Office and Queer As Folk are about the only times I think they did okay). Run away from this one. Run far, far away.

I finally saw the promos for Battlestar Galactica

PILOTS!!! I must admit that my super shippy self paused the promo at the Kara/Lee frames! *hee* ... I want these last episodes to rock my world like BSG used to!!! Maybe I have too many expectations and I will be very disappointed yet again *shrugs*, but that won't stop me from being ridiculously looking forward to the final episodes!

J-pop! Eee! I like several j-pop artists/groups a lot, but I've never been involved in j-pop fandom. I just listen to the artists I like and watch their videos. I enjoy watching several Johnnys tv programmes!

Regarding the US version of Life on Mars, I think I will pass... I'd rather rewatch the original. :)

Yeah, I think we might all be setting ourselves up for disappointment |: I'm setting my expectations very low, and hoping to be pleasantly surprised...!

Oooh, which groups/artists do you like? And which shows are you watching? (I get overexcited about this stuff, because I only have two quasi-fans on my flist, lol.) I'm not in-in fandom, per se. I'm still a lurker who will one day start commenting on fic and making some JE fandom friends. Totally loving everything Arashi at the moment - Shukudai-kun, Himitsu, VSA, old eps of C/D/G no Arashi. And their doramas. I'm a pathetic, flaily fangirl :D
