Speaking from past Paypal experience, I can say that as long as you don't get suckered in by e-mails that claim to be from Paypal but actually aren't, you should be fine. No e-mail you get from Paypal will address you as "Dear Paypal user/member", and they won't ask you for information in an e-mail without showing that they already have the information and just need you to confirm it.
Their staff is pretty good about figuring out what transactions are fradulent and which are not. They are not quite as good at actually acting on fraud claims, but if you call and ask them what's up they'll get on it and the money goes back to you.

I'm overall pretty happy with my paypal experience, but that's just my two cents. (<--possibly a stupid pun?)

I have used PayPal since it was first around. Works fine. One person ripped me off on eBay with a hacked account. PP refunded 80%. better than nothing.

I find it works for me. Never a problem.
