Our enterprising robins have set up shop on the porch again, this time in the other ladder hanging from the roof. It's been about three weeks since we first saw the birds sitting on the nest, so we should have a pack of baby birdies pretty soon.

What happens to the eggshells? Do they just get gradually pulverized by the activities of the baby robins?

Or do you get nifty bloo eggshell bits on your porch?

I dunno. I don't remember what happened to the shells last year. We'll see this year.

How freakin' cool! Love them robin babies. Our neighbours had a nesting Mourning Dove who nested, hatched, and kicked out the well grown babies in 4 weeks...they grow QUICKLY!
