I once had some place give my address to 1,000 'green' companies, too. For years I received their junk mail, resulting in the killing of 1000000s of trees.

I never understood why people who are looking for donations would sell your info to other people looking for donations.

Doesn't that just give you an opportunity to donate to people they just sold your info to instead of donating it to them?

Yeah but Im guessing they make a bunch of money selling my information so maybe they dont care if I ever donate to them again.

the true reason they want your money. it's that your address is worth so much more. i feel like an asshole for almost never donating, but then shit like this happens and i remember why i'm miserly.
