Site Down:

K, just letting everyone know.

There was a power issue with the host. We didn't kill the server, and Mage didn't kill it either.

Please give them some time to fix the problem and everything will be back up shortly. It's temporary!

Duplicate Stories:In other news, we are aware of duplicate stories, we moved all the stories over and ( Read more... )

Lol, well, that explains why I was happily tooling around Mage, and now I can't! *pout* I will anxiously await the host getting its power back together.

Should we report duplicate stories? Or do you already have a list of those?

Also, I was a bad girl, I changed a story title in edit before I realized we weren't supposed to mess with anything. The story was Shining Through, and it had its summary where the title should be. I hope my edit doesn't cause you any troubles.

The site looks smashing, by the way!

Don't delete duplicates because the reviews would be lost. Let us load them add them to one of the stories then we delete duplicates.

Editing your story title was fine. We thought we caught them all but we didn't. We had about 200 of them to fix.

I hate to tell tales out of school, but plaidpooka has a certain reputation for breaking websites. Are you sure this isn't her fault somehow? :-D

It's not my fault, I tell you! Just because the PP site goes down after I post, and SH's whole host loses it when all I'm doing is taking a little look around... I am not a jinx! ;)

Does Mage show whether or not stories have been completed? I liked being able to browse the completed fics section on the old archives. If Mage does have this feature, I apologize for this comment; I'm still browsing and getting used to the new format.

When I'd re-registered, I get this for my first log-in:

Notice: Undefined variable: settings in /chroot/home/sycophan/sycophanthex.com/html/archive/firstlogin.php on line 32

Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in /chroot/home/sycophan/sycophanthex.com/html/archive/functies.php on line 10

I would post this comment on the new site if I could so I hope it's okay for me to put it here.

Me too! Such a relief to see that I'm not the only one who's having trouble. Re-registering isn't my only problem: I can't coonect to Mage at all. Do you have this problem also?

Help! I don't know what happened! I tried to register today and something went wrong; I can't coonect to Mage anymore! I keep getting error mesages saying that there is an undefined error or something like that. Very frustrated at the moment.

Okay, this isn't a problem for me... as I don't write explicit sexual acts... but after reading the submission rules:

Underage Sex: No submissions depicting explicit sexual acts for characters below the age of 17 will be allowed, but submissions may reference to sexual acts of those under 17 years of age. Reference to physical or sexual abuse of children under the age of 17 may be included within the story only as required for background information. No graphic details may be included.

I have a query... in the UK, underage sex is about anybody under the age of 16. Not 17. So I'm not sure if it's fair to restrict those who need the age to be 16, because of plot layout or whatever.

If there's a reason for this age... I apologise. It's just, HP characters do live in the UK...

The site is physically based and maintained in the US, ergo the TOS will reflect the laws of that particular country.
