Spartacus
This challenge is about everything surronding the story of Spartacus. Little is known about Spartacus and what is known comes from several Roman sources. According to Plutarch he was a Thracian who had served as a soldier in the Roman army before being taken prisoner and sold to a ludus to work as a gladiator. It is Spartacus' involvement in the Third Servile War, an unsuccessful series of slaves rebellions, that has captured the imagination of people throughout history.
This challenge is about Spartacus and what he has inspired. You can use images from films such as Spartacus (1960), TV series such as Spartacus: Blood and Sand, text from ancient sources such as Plutarch or even modern day novels such as Spartacus: The Gladiator by Ben Kane. You do not have to focus on Spartacus himself, you could chose to icon other slaves involved in the rebellion or the Romans sent after them.
This challenge will run a little longer so that it goes over the holiday period.
