In Pittsburgh, the mullet is still an oft-encountered hairstyle in the 80s'

In Rome, you theorize that the 'rise of the mullet' could have contributed to the fall of the Roman Empire.

So, if you are right, the rise of the mullet in Pittsburgh is why the Steelers stopped winning Super Bowls?

There is evidence that must be considered that counters your hypothesis. The Steelers did win a Super Bowl two years ago. Even more strongly, the Pittsburgh Penguins were encouraged to two Stanley Cup victories fueled by mullet power. On "Mullet Talk," it was put forth that the play of famed Jaromir Jager degraded when he cut off of his super mullet.

Pittsburgh is Mulletburgh.
