I disagree. Science can only speak to those things that fall within the measurable realm of the scientific method. Non-scientific things such as belief systems are not compatible with it.
Those seeking to apply science to do so either do not understand the meaning of science, or deliberately choose to ignore it to further their own agenda.
That is the crux of my point. Science is a tool; however, it is an imperfect tool because those who formulate it are imperfect. Science is not 100% accurate because we are not. Thus, while science can explain everything, it is not an infalliable guide. This forces decision making to be made utilizing science but not ruled by science. Decision making on answers is thereby based upon reasoning, the power of the mind in logic and belief, which involves multiple facets with science being prominent in that equation
