Yes, their official name is Knightmare frame.

[Knightmares are bad news bears in war. Lots and lots of death and destruction.]

They are named Knightmare frames to fit in with the theme of Britannian royalty.

Whenever I fly it, the Lancelot Albion will be visible in the sky.

Knightmares are weapons of war. Entire nations were destroyed in the pursuit of being able to create more powerful and deadly Knightmares. [So that Charles and Marianne could have their selfish wish granted.]

There are people I want to protect here, and because so many people here already have powers, there shouldn't be the same draw like there would be in our worlds.

it has people pulling it up! At least, that's what I found out... But I don't think the elevators here have people pulling it up....

I take it your world relies more on magic than technology?

I guess so...

They have runes for all sorts of things.

[ And runes that screw you and influence people to start wars/civil wars/invasions etc etc etc. ]

We don't have anything like that in our world. I can only imagine what the former Emperor would have done if he had managed to get a hold of something like that.

They're not all bad, though... there are runes for healing, and protection too.

A friend of mine has potions that are similar to that. When I was injured, he gave me one and it healed a gash on my arm.

I think we have those too, but runes are pretty powerful...
