Summary: Three minutes without air, three days without water, three weeks without food... three months without light, without human contact, without mercy. What part of Adam would that kill?

Notes: Spoilers for everything through Powerless. Written because I couldn’t leave Adam down there, and neither could Hiro.

Oh wow! That was pretty good! But too short! ;) I would love to read a second part of this great story, it's undeniably worth it!
Anyway I really enjoyed Hiro's POV and also the way the described Adam (both physically and mentaly), it wasn't an easy thing to do but you managed to be coherent both with the story and the characters as they are described in the show.
Good job, and thanks a lot for sharing it with us!

Thank you! I am tempted to write Hiro and damaged!Adam, but I'm not sure where it would go, really. And I suspect Adam is maybe not as damaged as he's pretending to be. But hey, I'm glad you liked it, thanks.

Yay, detailed feedback for the win! Thanks so much. And you know, I didn't mean to make this a sad story, but it happens that way. Really, I'm not sure how being buried alive is going to turn out happily.

And yes, I suspect that Adam may be better than he lets on. Maybe he knows Hiro on some level, and trusts him, or maybe he knows everything, and is getting Hiro's guard down. One never knows with Adam. *g*

Okay, can I worship you? Because, like, seriously. You go and write this fic that is amazing standing on it's own two feet and then with one sentence, everything changes! Just, the ambiguity of it... it's unsettling and thought-provoking and really, this whole thing raises more questions then it answers.

Ah, you noticed the last line! *g* Thank you, that one was fun. Because I wanted to leave it open, yes, maybe Adam is gone, maybe he's an empty vessel, but maybe not. Adam is just sneaky enough to do it, too.

Personally, I think it's somewhere in the middle. Adam is damaged, yes, he was broken, gone, but he's very good at rebuilding. I think he's a little more himself than he's letting on, but he's not all there. Yet, anyway.

Adam Monroe: never a good person to play poker with. He always has that extra ace up his sleeve.

This is so amazing! Hiro's guilt and desperation and despair at realizing what he's done to Adam is so incredible and perfect. The hollow shell that Adam's become is so heartbreaking. You have a real gift for detail. The sentences flow so beautifully. *adores*

Yay, thank you! I do feel sorry for Hiro in this, because at the end, he was backed into a corner--kill Adam, or trap him. He thought he chose the kinder alternative. Thanks much for the kind words!
