Five things that would regrettably most likely not be possible without this damn City, no matter how much I despise the place:

1. Ahiru being a g---sjdalksj
2. Finding my sister.
3. Being with all those I care about, at the same time.
4. Technology far past oil lamps.
5. Being dead and yet not completely dead.

Six things I enjoy doing with my free time:

Chess.... I've not played that myself.

Nor had I, until I was given a set. It's rather thought-provoking, for a game.

Could you teach me how to play?

Certainly.

Maybe you should get pains next time your gender is switched by a curse to understand why we cry.

YEAH! That's a great idea! And it should last for an entire week, too!

I highly doubt I would cry, regardless.

So you cannot entirely despite the City, for all that it's given you.

I remember I spoke to you once of happy endings. Still believe that they cannot come true?

sword_and_quill July 23 2008, 14:22:23 UTC
...Not entirely, no. But it has enough downsides to go hand in hand with that.

They can, but not in this place. Too many unexpected things can happen and change almost anything at the drop of a hat.

Take the good with the bad, then.

I suppose so, but . . . ah, I still believe in happy endings, because I think that even if things can change, the power an individual to create change himself or herself shouldn't be underestimated either. To fight for one's happy ending at all cost . . . I have seen people find it because they fought for it, come what may.

Online gaming to boost your confidence? But it gets so boring~

Perhaps, but it can be a decent way to vent frustration from time to time. It's a lot easier to cut things down in a game than it is to face these superhuman beings in the City.

Played any interesting ones?

sword_and_quill July 23 2008, 17:19:29 UTC
...I haven't really played many, but I guess nothing in particular stands out. It's not the most prominent of my hobbies, if it could even be called that much.

Are you into games or something?

...I guess that the City does have its good points.

sword_and_quill July 23 2008, 17:20:12 UTC
Indeed. Though most are outweighed by its bad ones.

Yeah, like the curses. Making people do stupid things.

Or changing a person altogether. Or worse.

They're wholly unpredictable, and that is perhaps more unsettling than anything else.
