Yay, you updated...I got the ff.net notification but had no chance to go over and read just yet, so this was perfect... I love this fic--very fine, sensitive portrayal of a m!Cousland and a f!Tabris, not to mention your Alistair is great, and complicated so far. That sad little expression he gives when he leaves the recruits' tent...aww. He doesn't know which one of them will be alive by next evening, after the Joining, after all...
And your Kallian...funny and tragic at the same time, with so many chips on her choulder that she tries to deny... Not that Aedan does'nt have them, of course...
All in all, very well done. A few minor grammar and spelling errors, but I only spotted them because they happen to touch my pet peeves--let me know if you need a beta by any chance.

Thank you so much for the comments ^_^ Yeah, my Kallian has quite a few chips on her shoulder. I'm amazed she isn't walking lop sided because of them. :P

I have, unfortunately, lost my beta to he horrid Real Life monster. It nommed her right up! You wouldn't happen to be the sort that can also spot when a sentence -- though grammatically correct -- doesn't seem to get across what I'm trying to say?

I mean, I've come across betas who say "yeah I can help" and all they really do is toss it into word for a grammar/spelling check. Pshhh. I can do that. I need a little bit more from a beta who is a nit picker and if you can do that, then let's talk. :)

Cool beans; I sent you a yahoo mail. I'd definitely want a beta who is more than just a Grammar Nazi, I don't fault you at all.
