i can get on board with the copper. my monitor has it appearing darker than the strawberry blondish colours and redder than the ash browns.

My hair flicks between being blonde, browny and copper; I'd say his is pretty similar.

The guard in prison calls Alistair "blondie", and I'm inclined to agree. Alistair always looks to me like a dirty, possibly strawberry sort of blond. A little coppery? Maybe. There's a lot of redheads in Ferelden, though.

Copper as a descriptive term works for me. He always looked like a strawberry blond as far as I was concerned. Not blond enough for that guard to call him "Blondie" but, whatever.
