Oh, I love this. The insight into Brosca's life before she became a Warden, back when she was a streetrat and a child at that... this was a very nice read, and I enjoyed it so much. I did love the part where she ran into the Warden--who knew it would be a glimpse into a possible future for her?

I also have my Brosca's hair short, too. Kind of makes sense with her origin, really (though mine was short more because of her tomboyish nature).

Thanks for sharing! And I hope you write more of Brosca; the girl could use more lovin'. ;D
