I've never played the game like that, so I can't comment on the PC Queen, but party approval ratings are displayed on a bar underneath the characters profile, on the level up screen. There's a broken heart on the left side and a golden heart on the right, and a little slider that displays what side of the spectrum the characters approval lies.

When you get to Landsmeet later on, if you have a high enough coercion, you can say that you want to make Alistair the king with you as queen. It just opens up as a dialogue choice when they ask you who you want to put on the throne. That's how it worked for my playthrough, anyway.

As for approval rating, on the 360 version it's on the character screen-like where I would go to change Alistair's armor, look at his stats, etc. Not sure how it works for PC version though. ^^

Approval: Just press "C" and there is a bar under the portrait of the character - though you cannot do that until after Ostagar (or at least cannot do anything to change approval until afterwards, I think).

And reg. the queen-thing, there was a very thorough list of things to do that went up almost as soon as this community did in early November (ah, ye olden days), so it should be easy to find.

Human Female Noble is the only way to be Alistair's queen. I found that out too late after I was firmly attached to my Female Human Mage/Alistair pairing. *sadness*

Also, you can view the approval rating by going into the inventory screen and selecting your party members (on the left side of the inventory screen at the top there are arrows). The approval rating will be below their image where your EXP usually shows. If you hover over the line, it will tell you specifically what number it's at.

Hope those instructions weren't too confusing. I'm doing this from memory while at work. =P
