Curious, do you mean self insert as "My version of the PC" or self insert as "me in the real world, somehow ending up in the Dragon Age world"?

Oh, I should've clarified, not everyone is as used to reading it as I am.

I guess it's technically "your version of PC". Even though with this its hard to cater to everyone, but I can try. Mostly just second person POV writing [like a CYOA].

I'm going to break the laws of the interwebs and fandom by saying there is nothing wrong with self-inserts...or Mary Sues for that matter. It's all about how they are handled.

My Neria Surana (elf Mage origin) and Elissa Cousland (human noble) or your PC will always be different than someone elses since we write them from our prespective. And they will always have elements of ourselves in them, and that's more than okay.

So, in short. Write what makes you happy. This is suppose to be fun, after all.:)
