I wrote this a week ago and I'm rather happy with it. I'd finished my second playthrough and needed to get some stuff out and vent my reasoning as to why I made the decisions I did in the game after debating it a little too much with fellow players. This was the result.

Wonderful! Thank you for articulating this; I feel like it's very close to what my Hawke would have done. I'm listening to "I'm Not Calling You a Liar" right now and it's making me teary to read. And thank you for calling her only Hawke. I understand why a lot of people use their PC's given names, but it really makes for a more immersive experience if I can place my character there. :)

One suggestion, if you don't mind: Meredith and Orsino are mispelled whenever they appear. Your fic is so lovely, I'd hate for a mistake with the character names to mar it. :)

Oh ack! I did misspell it, thank you for pointing that out! *rushes to fix*

I deliberately left out her first name, her class, or even a description of f!Hawke so that all of the people in shoes similar to mine (and I bet there were a lot!) could connect with it. It makes me extremely happy that you picked up on that and it did what it was supposed to do.

In the play-throughs where I spare Anders, I'm always looking at his death as an escape, as well. Just another chance to run away. So I almost always end up keeping him alive so he has to deal with the aftermath, just as much as my Hawkes do!

This was great. I liked it a lot.
The part about Hawke turning Pounce into a fancy hat made me smile. It's good to see a kind of happy Anders for once :)

I loved this. :) And the entire "I love you, you stubborn selfish ass...doesn't mean I can't be angry at you at the same time" paragraph hits the nail on the head! Great stuff.
