I bet the writers had no idea that one simple word in a line of dialogue would spawn this much insane fangirling over Sebastian and his waffles.

What's funnier is that I don't have the DLC, so I was just a bit confused about all this crazy waffle talk...then saw a video on Youtube and heard him say it and couldn't stop giggling. Completely ruined the tragedy of the moment, but its Sebastian! And waffles! MADE FOR EACH OTHER!

Fangirls have picked crazier things before afterall ;)

When he said it during my first playthrough I was like, "Ok I get what you're saying, but do waffles even exist in Thedas for this metaphor to make sense? Are they Orlesian waffles? I bet they are."

I was curious and thought to look up the etymology, and now can't help but think it so awesomegreat that Seb would use it, given that the verb "waffle" comes via Scots.<,/nerd>

Anyway. If Thedas has cookies (also a word of Dutch origin), it only seems right that they have waffles. Perhaps they're a treat from the Anderfels or Nevarra.

I said it before, and I am saying it again: I'll be LIVING on waffles once Lent is over. And I'll blame all of you.
And I'll giggle evey single time I'm eating one.
And yes, that scene is ruined. I'll have to work hard on a suitable dramatic speech for Hawke to restore it to its...tragedy. Otherwise I'll be expecting Seb to whip out a little tray of waffles and walk around the square: 'Waffles, to decide? Waffles for your decision? No? Waffle or death?'
Is it just me? No? Yes? Lobster?
