SUPERNATURAL 7x17

Spoilers: I liked this one, except for maybe the pacing.

[Supernatural 7x17]AND NOW I WILL TELL YOU WHY.

Um, doing this by character, since I don't really know how else to put this.

SAM AND LUCIFER:

So, I wished that the last episode was more like this one. Maybe not this drastic, but something closer to this? Sam to be even more out of it, to be

SO MUCH LOVE FOR THE TV. is it Game of Thrones time yet?

SPN, ugh, so good except for, you know, plot holes and pacing and the terrible hospital (I want my Sam sleeping for like a week scene, damn it)

And Korra was magnificent. Tho I too am less then happy with the must have a love interest, look here's Mako. If Korra must hook up with someone, I want it to be with a girl.

I wouldn't really mind Mako being the love interest in the long run, I just wish they'd given him some time to breathe as a character before telegraphing 'LOOK POSSIBLE LOVE INTEREST' all over him. Which, well, maybe we're wrong, maybe they're going to step away from it. But it was a little disappointing-even with Aang's crush on Katara, I didn't feel like they did that in Avatar.

no, they were friend first. The love interest was developed much more organically with Katara and Aang. I wonder if they are maybe going the awkward failed romance, lets be friends part maybe with Mako and Korra? That could be fun.

oh man, I still have Duet on VHS somewhere. A lot of people give DS9 a bad rap because it's so dark, but I think it still explores ideas that are so relevant to today. I mean, so does TNG, but everyone loves it, so.

Cry, Korra was only up for the weekend. I'll have to find ~other ways~ to view.

I actually like DS9 better (so far) because it's a little darker. Not that it's all that dark, considering, but I always felt weird about the Federation as an unquestioned utopia. I like how DS9 doesn't quite feel so human-centric, and that people besides the Captain are allowed to be right once in a while.

Also, I have a rant about Tasha Yarr and how her characterization really soured TNG for me, but that can way for another time.

It's probably the least Roddenberry-esque of the Star Trek series, though, so I can understand where people are coming from.
