Written? Kitten. Like Write or Die, but instead of writing to avoid Rick Astley, you're writing to get kittens. A new kitten every 100, 200, 500, or 1000 words. In conclusion: Kittens.

Or if you want to skip the productivity and just want to waste time The Kitten Covers. Kittens. On album covers. Adorable!

Wow, that's amazing. Immediately before logging onto I'd just read that exact article! Great minds, Switch. Great minds.

And that is a lovely (very long!) scarf. I love the tapered ends and the pretty colors. :3

Hahah, apparently it's making the rounds? I've stopped going to the NYT half as much since the paywall went up, but this is one of those things that I think is worth linking to, even if it eats up the free pageviews.

It's so pretty! Wow -- even if it came out much longer than you expected, it's still quite an accomplishment.

I just saw this video on 30 ways to tie a scarf the other day -- maybe you'll find some inspiration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LYAEz777AU

Nice! I've been doing a variation of the European loop one-it helps it stay on if I loop it through- but I've been trying to figure out something that'll stay on my neck, but not be a horrible pain when it comes time to take it off.

Luckily, it's just the beginning of scarf season, so I'll have plenty of time to practice!

Your knitting's gorgeous! Also, the polka dotted pillow in the background, j'adore as I do your kitty!

Also, Written?Kitten has been a lifesaver for me this weekend. :D

Thank you! The polka dotted pillows are actually space invaders on one side and pac man on the other-it's some fabric I found at a local crafting shop, and I absolutely love it.

Ok, that drinkify site: everything I put in, it advises me to drink some sort of liquor "neat"! (I do not do liquor, really: much more a wine and beer girl.)

Lovely scarf! And adorable kitty. Well done!

You still have a classier taste in music than I do, apparently. I've gotten so many PBR's and 'drink an entire bottle of Captain Morgan' that I've started questioning my own drinking abilities.

I rarely drink, but when I do it tends to be beer-snobby beer.

And thanks! I can't take too much credit for how adorable the cat is-he pretty much came that way.

I hate PBR. I have no idea why drinking it became a hipster pasttime--the stuff is nasty. (It's fine when ice cold, but the moment it starts to warm up... *shudders*)

I'm a fan of the microbrews! And imports. I'll drink a Bud Light 'cause they're cheap (and so am I), but more often than not I'll spring for something with a bit more flavor to it. (I like bitter, hop-y ales the most.)

It was supposed to be because it was ironic and cheap, but I'm not sure if you can ironically drink beer for a decade, and it's not any cheaper than anything else outside of the midwest.

If I'm going to be drinking at all, I'll drink a microbrew. I drink so little anyway that I figure I can afford to spring for something a little tastier. :D

KITTENSSSSSSSS

If I didn't think an internet window demanding that I write for whatever reason would do permanent damage to my psyche nowadays, I would be all over that. Doin' it for the kittens.

EPIC SCARF IS EPIC is only the beginning to describe this… *___* It is remarkably pretty, though! And so is your hair! :D …and your own resident kitten is rather pretty, too. XD

indeed, kittens.

Thank you for the lovely compliments! Occasionally my hair decides to do something besides be a giant ball of frizz (alas, today is not one of those days).
