HELP!!!!

If you've read the Anita Blake series (or the first handful of the series) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE leave me a comment here. I'm writing my MA project and need to check something about the Anita Blake series and don't want to read them (I've only read the first two)...

I have the entire series - well, not the recent few after Blood Noir since they've got shitty as hell - and I've re-read them numerous times.

I don't know why it's taken me so long to respond lol I've talked to hollzilla and it doesn't seem that my question is regarding Anita Blake, but maybe you would know what series it's from?

I'm trying to figure out which series has newbie vamps die (or usually die?) if they don't find an older vampire to mentor them... thoughts?

I think hollzilla and I determined that my advisor may be thinking of the servant/master relationship in the Anita Blake series... I'm going to ask her when we meet tmrw and see if that's what she was thinking of. If I'm still blank, I'll let you know! Thanks!!
