Fuck that song and to HELL with that kid!

I remember watching a guy at Fry's attempt that song for like 20 minutes. He never made it past the opening. I remember staring it and going "Are all of those hammer-ons?!" and he goes "yup. Miss one and you are fucked!"

That song is just too hard for me. It reaches a point where it stops being fun but that's probably because I just don't have it in me.

In other bits of curiousity, how the hell does that kid's pick work so well!?

My sister and her husband gave me the Target special edition Guitar Hero 3 with two guitars and I'm loving the pick action. Nice and clicky!

Have you heard anything about the PS2 Rockband guitars? Are those having problems with the initial batches?

They aren't technically out yet. EA fucked up the shipment and no retail outlets has had them in store. PS2 Rock Band should work with the GH controllers though.

Hmm. That's good to know, but I'll probably hold off until I get a 360. The download-able content is too good to pass up!

After watching it again, none of us have any reason to feel bad about not being able to do that. If you look at his guitar, all of the black is rubbed off of his buttons from being played so much. I'm sure this kid plays close to every waking second.

Kids his age are the reason why I stopped playing Bemani games on a regular basis. I mean, I still love hearing the songs and jamming out what I can, but when 9-10 year-olds are getting AAA's on anything and everything, it's kinda disheartening for someone who's played musical instruments virtually their entire life.

But, I sincerely hope this kid matures into a kickass musician someday.

Another thing that bothers me is that there are a lot of times in this song that there are synth parts that you're playing on guitar. The intro is completely synth and one of the bridges has this string of notes that are also not played on guitar. Lame!

Keytar Hero?!?! ^_^

I think the whole series needs some Satch goin' on. More fun with the whammy bar!

Someday, I'd like to play some of these games with you. I'm also complaining about some songs having extra notes or sections that aren't played on a guitar (or a guitar w/ some sort of distortion device). You'd probably be good for pointing that sort of stuff out.
