Of all the idiotic motorists I've seen on the road, today's wins the Darwin Award ( Read more... )

I had to laugh at that. That idiot deserve what he got. I'm one of those people who probably would've break-checked him XD Today's morning commute was pretty horrendous. It's better to be a few minutes late than to be in an accident.

Oh P-chan. I worry about you being on the road ^_^

Um, I hope you didn't learn how to drive like that from me *evil shifty eyes*

I'm one of those who loves to drive the speed limit regardless of hazardous road conditions. :3

However, I won't flash my brights or honk, and definitely never illegally pass. Hell, I probably wouldn't even ride your bumper, depending on how bad the road was and how slowly you were going. For a freak blizzard, I'd probably be fine with 35 in a 45.

Then again, if it weren't for speed limits, radar detectors, and cops, I'd be going at least 100 down the highways.

btw, the recent problems with my car had nothing to do with speeding or trying to pass another car. in fact, it had nothing to do with any other cars at all.

it did, however, involve snow. and an empty parking lot. xD

These days, the fastest I'll drive is 5 over the limit (like most people goin' with the flow.) Even on long roadtrips, I'll barely push 7 over. I haven't had a speeding ticket in almost 7 years *knocks on wood*

I'm glad to hear your car is back ^_^ I almost hit one of our work trucks in the parking lot this morning as they came rocketing out of the warehouse... Gotta love Honda's Anti-Lock Brake System!

ohhh, what kind of Honda? I've got a 2006 Civic! ^____^

as far as the ABS, I actually want to turn it off (and I probably will sometime in the next couple days).

Ok, I'll admit I wanted to drive back to dump peanuts and hot fudge in the snow next to their wrecked car and yell "you got SOFT SERVED, BITCH!!!" But I'm sure the subtle "wave" (along with the impact of that mailbox) did enough damage hahaha!!!

OH yes, sometimes it's so much better to do less than to do a whole lot.

An absolutely awesome story. Your sister and I are envious we couldn't be the ones to enjoy the driver's come-uppance. But we're sort of living vicariously through your tale since we have experienced similar assholes on that same stretch of road.

We've all driven that road for several years now, yet we still see people manage to find creative ways of getting in accidents around that hairpin curve. I think the best was seeing a Subaru Impreza (a Japanese sportscar with ALL WHEEL DRIVE) flipped on its side and halfway through the barbed wire fence...

Whew! It was rather refreshing seeing them get what was comin' to them! Believe me, this Winter has been crazy on the roads in Ohio. I think with each passing year the general disregard for motorists' safety increases (coinciding with an increasing number of SUVs on the road... kekeke)
