He sees his father work carefully by candle-light; meticulously tipping the candle to anoint the feathers with wax, laying the feathers in rows against the bigger structure. Yeah I enjoyed this different take on Icarus. I thought it might've been Inception-esque before the Groundhog Day elements were pointed out.

This was amazing. That paragraph in the beginning of each new section really added to the whole feeling of repetition. Just wonderful job all around.

I love this. I love how your version addresses the issues of this story being used as an allegory to keep the classes in their place.
