[Since you're watching so carefully, you might catch the light of a Sky flame through the thick fog. It's a fish's way of dealing with the darkness, though the extra light isn't exactly helping him as much as he'd hoped.]

{The smirk on his face is more like hale than rain as he approaches you.}

Tsuna. I've been looking for you.

[Whether something is wrong isn't even a question. That'd been clear as soon as the weather set in, and the feeling had gotten steadily worse. It would have been a pleasant surprise to see you, though--if it hadn't been so obvious you weren't your normal self.]

...What is it, Takeshi?

[swingswallow]

{Have a knuckle sandwhich.}

So you died?! You think it was the right thing to make us your damned pallbearers?!

[sky_ringed]

[He'll let it hit, because quite honestly, he knows he deserves at least that much.]

No. I don't think it was. [He frowns softly, a troubled expression at the thought of that choice, but doesn't look away. If it matters when you're like this, it's all too easy to tell how sincere everything he says is.]

But it was the necessary thing, and even if an apology means nothing... I am truly sorry, Takeshi.

[swingswallow]

{He makes a slightly strangled noise and wheels off for a moment before he turns back to you and points.}

Do you know what it was like trying to gather it up and hold it together? What it was like trying to hold Hayato up?

{And really that's at the bottom of it. Not so much the hurt you caused him..but the hurt you caused Hayato. Because even underneath it all Takeshi doesn't think too much about himself.

He steps forward moving with an almost nervous energy back and forth.}

I-- [He's taken aback by that; your disregard for yourself. And in reality, he's had a taste of trying to keep Gokudera from breaking completely--that first time you were here and had been killed.
However, he's not going to contradict you on that, for a couple reasons. Because there's a chance it could lead to an argument (or a fight, and make things worse either way), and because he knows it still wasn't half as hard as what you had to deal with.]

...The only thing I know, Takeshi, is that what I did to all of you, especially considering how strongly Hayato feels, is unforgivable.

{The tension slipped almost entirely out of the shadow's form and he stepped back to Tsuna to simply press his lips to his forehead. The enormous pain on his face was the truth of what he hid to help the Family hold together.}

Just don't do it again.

[He nods slightly, reaching to pull you into a brief hug now that the majority of that tension is gone.]

...I won't make the same mistake twice.

[swingswallow]

I hope not. We probably wouldn't survive it twice.

{He stretches with a smile and slings an arm around Tsuna's shoulders jumping right into what he would have tread around normally.}

So they made you forget... [There's a frown at that, his focus diverted a moment, but he nods in answer to your question.]

But yes, it's true. [He pauses for a moment, frowning slightly again.] Speaking of Hayato... We should find him.

[He's going to turn to face you, probably ending up inadvertently slipping out from under your arm in the process. There's still a 'lightness' to things that's starting to leave him unsettled now.]
