I've had several panic attacks, so I know how it feels. :( My advice? Watch some old sitcom with a family member. Works for me. It doesn't have to be a show you enjoy, or even recognize, but for some reason it really calms me down.
Also, I never noticed any twitching or anything, but that's just me. It still took balls to write about it though.
Haha, thanks. I never realized this, but you're really nice to me, and since I never really recognized that earlier, I feel the need to state it. Thanks for the advice, and for caring. <3
My best friend has OCD and her best advice is to just deal with it, just overcome it. Medciation made her feel.. well, medicated and numb. Just not like herself. Her case is pretty sever, and it was extremely extremely difficult for her at first to deal with it without medication. There were dozens of times over the years when she wanted to give in and just start taking it again, but like everything else, it goes in cycles. You already know that, I'm sure

I was on a whole lot of medication until 9th grade, where they believed most of my problems to have faded. I was on them due to Social Anxiety Disorder/Panic Disorders. Most of my life I couldn't even talk to people, because I actually feared talking to them. But after 9th grade I didn't really experience anything aside from getting anxious at places most people would, so I was taken off them

For as long as I've been your livejournal friend I have read almost every journal entry you've written and I come to the conclusion that me and you are long lost brothers.
-We both drink like maniacs -We are always depressed or upset about something or another in alot of our entries (most of which deal with friends, girls, or our father) -We both have emotions that are constantly up and down -We both write and sing... or atleast I think you sing. -We both have panic attacks- which I take some kind of "anti-anxiety" medication of sorts.
^^ Im pretty sure those are most of your qualities, If not, just correct me. But otherwise, I have weird ass mannerisms to, but thats because I have ADHD. Im gunna go out on a limb and say you have depression, and take some kind of Anti-Depressant- which I do. I also have problems sleeping, which I've talked to my doctor about on many occasions.
the only thing i can say that might help is that its probably not a good idea to take medication depending on what it is(mostly related to OCDs)because its likely you will become dependent on it, and it changes your personality, mood, and can make you very tired all the time. this i know.
anyways, you have nothing to be self-conscious about. easier said than done. i know. but if you ever need to talk, theres plenty of willing people, me included. and good luck with everything.
Well a couple things first...i've never noticed this eye thing you talk about and thats really odd b/c i'm a very observant person and this might sound like stalkerish...but i stare at you a lot...hahaha and i've never noticed. Hmm....also one of my best friend sin Florida had panic attacks all the time and he said they can be quite scary at times do to the fact they are unpredictable . I hope that your ok and if you ever need to talk i'm here. Oh and i agree with the previous girl before me about the meds changing you.....i mean i'm the last one to admit that you have the best personality ever and are very kind and caring....haha however honestly i wouldn't change anything about you so you shouldn't be self- conscious. Oh p.s. next time you see me in public could you please ignore me more? i mean i feel you did a poorly job last time.... (i'm kidding however now i know not to approach you in public.....thanks.
I have a few things I'm very self-concious about, but I don't think I'll ever end up telling anyone about them :/. I'm still working on telling something to my parents that has been eating me alive for the last few years.
