They ALL wear winter clothes in this movie. Note the sweater on Darcy in my icon. It's like New Mexico is the Land of Quilt-lined Plaid Flannel. I'd love to know what kind of weather they shot this thing in.
Thor was shot in Galisteo, which is a small town kind of near Santa Fe, so it doesn't get particularly hot there. For example, most homes in Santa Fe don't have air conditioning. When there's a heat wave (as in, it's above 90 degrees, hehe), everyone freaks out.
It was filmed in the spring, so still not particularly warm -- snow would not be too unusual in April.
Plus, it gets cold at night in the desert -- even when it's warm in the day, things cool off fairly quickly, unlike in a city.
And northern New Mexico is fairly mountainous. Galisteo, like Santa Fe, is at a higher elevation than Denver. So yeah, it's cool there, even in the summer. OK, maybe not cool enough for a sweater in the day. :)
But the flannel and chunky sweaters -- SO Santa Fe, land of the granola.
Hmm... I've never thought of this pairing, I like it! Most of the fandom seems to like pairing Darcy with Loki because of all the snark that would happen.
I was browsing ship_manifesto when I spotted this, these two where my favourite characters in Thor; Clint's little scene made the film for me, but I hadn't considered them as a pairing until I read this. I have now become addicted to this pairing...
Thanks for the mixes, which I listed to on a loop while reading the fic you linked. Can't wait for more from this pairing!
