One of my top three favorite writers, Alexander Chee, I just found out is going to be reading at the Writing Center in Bethesda MD this Friday night. Oh man, I want to go. I don't know if the reservation slots have all filled up yet, or if I can find someone to go with. Likely I won't be able to go. Curses for not hearing about this earlier.

Me too! Happily I am actually going-first I realized I could metro in; then I thought I'd see if the 'rents want to come, and they think it sounds cool. Hopefully this will be a less awkward experience than Jay Brannan's wonderful potty mouth ;)
Let me know if you're going to be free-ish at all when you're back in November-understandable if you're busy though :)
