Throw Michael Vick in the Clink.

I've always been a dog lover. Even before I had Harry, I don't think I'd ever met a dog I didn't like...with the one exception being the psycho german shepherd that bit me when I was in the 3rd grade... I was selling girl scout cookies, and this thing just came and charged me, and clamped its jaw down on my upper left leg. I still have a scar. ( Read more... )

Yeah, Michael Vick is truly a disgusting human being. I love to watch the shows with animal cops. I love to see them arrest a jack ass for starving a dog to death or for beating a cat. What amazes me even more is that they act shocked and surprised that they are being arrested for animal cruelty. Duh! How could anyone think that treating animals badly would be okay?

I think it's interesting that a player gets suspended for animal abuse, but not for spousal abuse. It's the first thing my cynical mind thought when I heard this.

You know... I thought the same thing, and I am so with you on that! Made me think of Rae Carruth a few years back... He went to CU, although, I think they removed his name board from the stadium after all the allegations surfaced...Clearly, he's a real credit to the University. NOT! He's the one who hired someone to kill his pregnant ex-girlfriend. Turns out that the girlfriend died, but the baby (which was his) survived. At first, he was ONLY (only?!? ha!) charged with conspiring to attempt first degree murder, attempted murder, and shooting a weapon into an occupied vehicle. The Carolina Panthers still had him on paid leave. He was released on 3 million bond. Then, the girlfriend died in the hospital, so the charges changed to first degree murder. Of course, it wasn't until Carruth decided to flee and the FBI named him a fugitive that the Panthers cut him off the payroll. (Maybe they had to stop paying him because with him on the run he didn't have a mailing address where he could receive the checks!! haha ( ... )

I forgot to type this above...

Clearly the NFL did not have their priorities straight when it came to the Rae Carruth issue. Hopefully, the actions that they have taken against Michael Vick will be the rule from now on, and not the exception.
