valentine's day is the fuckin' worst. it simultaneously makes me feel awfulER than usual, but also, "wow i'm sure glad NOBODY LUVS ME so i don't have to awkwardly celebrate this dumb holiday."

candy and companionship are some things, but the holiday itself can be kinda derfy.

the best valentine's thing is usually just consumer spillover and the funnies that ensue. my favorite V-Day in recent memory involved a box of Jeff Gordon valentine cards, and I kept a bunch for myself, anyway. (that pic is from an ebay auction, haha)

once i got a splinter in my foot that i could not quite get out. eventually the skin healed over it, and it is still in there somewhere, nestled safely amongst my inner-skin parts. unless my body ate it. which i guess is more likely. mmm, wood.

Hmm, I know what you mean.
I'm going to be spending my Valentine's night DJing, so hopefully I'll be distracted from all the young lovers having a good time. Of course there are also going to be quite a few of them. I will probably feel both fantastic and terrible.

When I was a kid I got chestnut splinters in my hand which subsequently got infected. I don't remember how we got them out, but it involved fire and some kind of hot, black, sap-like substance.

I hope you feel more fantastic than not. you can choose to alternately revel/wallow in it as you wish; your music will create (or destroy!!) the young love environment on the dance floor, anyway, right?
