...to the lovely indefatigable42 for the sandwich toaster turnover suggestion. I tried it last night with a mix of apple and blackcurrant pie fillings. They were lovely! I decided they would be best served hot off the toaster with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of strawberry sauc on top. They were very yummy indeed. :)

When we used to have a sandwich toaster, we had fun with pre-made puff pastry sheets, that you can cut to the right size and lay on the toaster... mmm pastry turnovers. I think my favourites were tuna and sweetcorn for savoury, and apple and cinnamon for sweet.
