Well. Here we are, huh? Our one hundredth theme!!!! I took over this community in December 2007 - just before New Year's, if I recall correctly - and at that point there had been twelve challenges, all of which had experienced varying degrees of success. I have a question. I'm on banners this week and there is a lot of them. I'd also really like to enter this week. Can someone make banners for me if i win?

Ooh, yeah, I was going to talk to you about that, since you're right - this is a HUGE one hehe. ;) I can definitely whip up some banners for you myself if you win; that's not a problem. But did you want to split them up further - i.e. you do half and I do half? I'm just concerned that it's a bit too much to dump on you all at once, and you might get a little overwhelmed with it. But if there were two people making banners, they might be a little easier to manage. Let me know what you think! :)

I don't mind taking half and half. I can also do all of the banners if people don't mind them not all coming at once. I'm fine with whatever arrangement. I'd just like for banners for myself if i win then. ^w^

I'll make yours for sure if you win, so don't worry about that. :) As for the rest, maybe we can talk once the results come in - depending on how many there end up being (because I haven't figured out special categories and so forth for all the parts yet), we'll figure it out then. :)

Oh, and believe it or not, it gets BETTER. I just added up all the new submissions that came in since last night, and this is how the entry totals stand as of now:

Part 1: 43
Part 2: 43
Part 3: 44
Part 4: 25
Part 5: 24
Part 6: 20

I was curious - and also very, VERY blown away - as to what that would add up to in terms of total icons submitted to Challenge #100, so I did some quick math, and the total for all six parts?

199.

Yes. One hundred and ninety-nine icons have been entered to this challenge since I posted it on Sunday.

I just ... I just don't even ... OMG. WOW. Still can't believe it.

This comm is AMAZING. :D :D :D :D

ETA: Also, makes sense about you taking banners for Part Six - that works fine! I was so caught up in entry totals that I forgot to mention it, LOL. ;)

oh geese! I've never seen numbers like that in a icontest. WOW!

It takes me a good 15-30 minutes to post voting for my contest with around 15-25 icons; I can't imagine how long its going to take to post that. If you need help posting them on tables don't hesitate to ask. ^w^ I'm basically free all night after 9pm.

SERIOUSLY. I'm still absolutely boggled hehe. Did another entry count just now and we're up over 200 ... 209 to be exact. *grins* :D

Thanks so much for the offer of help! :) You can bet your life I'm going to start this one early, WAY earlier than usual ... I typically start putting together the voting post at about 10:30 (to allow for late entrants, which sometimes happens), but I think I'll begin putting together the icons at least an hour before that, if not more. Will probably split the voting posts into parts so LJ doesn't get cranky at me about entry length, heh.

I'll let you know later tonight if I do need help. :)
