This is adorable. Love the outsider perspective here. Also the reference to Anakin as "his funnily-braied companion." LOL!

And after the first time he saw their hands awkwardly touch

Oh this is really good and the sense of time passing and Dex's ability growing as he observes all his customers, very well done. He's really gone past the 'knowledge' stage and into the 'wisdom' stage.

Thank you very much! :))
"I should think you Jedi would have more respect for the difference between knowledge and wisdom" are Dexter's words for a reason! He is a wise man :)

Ah, sweet ending! People-watching must be even more fun in the GFFA, and it's nice to see Dex is rather more sensitive than you might guess based on appearance alone.

Thank you! :))
Appearances are deceptive ;) And it was interesting to imagine something from Dexter's point of view :)

Dex is one of my favorites, and I love the perspective in this--it's sweet and intimate and yet distant enough, just giving us a window into what others, if they looked close enough, might have been privileged to witness. *sigh*

And this, forever:
And after the first time he saw their hands awkwardly touch and the same, almost-imperceptible smile lighten their faces, he was wise enough to recognize the depth of a feeling in a simple gesture and to sense that, like all those in love, they shared a universe of their own not intended for any intruders.

Such a treat, thank you, Nisa. ♥

There can never be too much OTP love! ♥

Dex was so lucky to witness those moments between them, wasn't he? :)
