Oh this is really good and the sense of time passing and Dex's ability growing as he observes all his customers, very well done. He's really gone past the 'knowledge' stage and into the 'wisdom' stage.

Dex is one of my favorites, and I love the perspective in this--it's sweet and intimate and yet distant enough, just giving us a window into what others, if they looked close enough, might have been privileged to witness. *sigh*
