Zero was lying on her bed reading one of her textbooks when Janine limped in. "Oi?" Zero asked.

"Oi?" Janine echoed.

"You're limping."

"Oh, that. I almost got run down by an NYC cab." Zero just blinked at her. "They're filming over by the business school."

"Ugh, again"New York cabs, New York cops, dead body in the water. Welcome to LA ( Read more... )

Spirit Mutterer? Please be joking. Gah. And I'm still on break, living in London this week while I work at the office.

It is a lie that I dropped a mug of coffee out an upper-storey Georgian window onto a certain associate's head.

And Xander and Bridge don't want me to sleep. I swear they've never heard of time zones.

*waves to Janine*

Parker, gleeing because the Oxford Blues are practicing. YAY

I am not even joking. S'not my fault they were all over the center of campus, now is it?

I'm sure it is a lie. A damned dirty lie meant to oppugn your character and...something. Yes. A lie...who was it? Tell me more!

I would beat them up for you, but they're right across the squalling country.

Janine waves back.

Your life is so very surreal. How do you even tell when someone's not filming?

Yes. A lie...who was it? Tell me more!

Lyle the Vile. Vyle? Him. Having sent my supervisor (and thus, me) on a wild goose chase for files for a presentation that was *never going to happen*, he then proceeded to use our office to try and romance one of the office temps. Grrrr.

And it wasn't coffee.... It was tea. I feel very British already.

I am planning a counterstrike. Stay tuned on that front.

Welcome to LA, baby. Mostly just look for the cameras. And if someone yells at you to get out of the shot that's a pretty good indicator.

...pour some more on his head for me. Weasel.

*stays tuned*

He really is. Also, he has a car that I'm dying to disfigure if I can work a way around the security cameras.

Oy. Vey. And ... fill in the blank.

*throws shoes at him from across the planet while you beat up Xander and Bridge from L.A.*

Wait a minute. Elizabeth wants to know if you know Sting.

... the hell?

It's an ugly car. With an ugly Beamer soul.

*plans car murder*

Ahem.

Apparently, that's 'brilliant' and 'completely counts.' Elizabeth wants to write you about Joey Ramone and evidently, tours.

Don't feel like you have to. She'll forget about it by tomorrow. She forgets everything but her lines.

How goes the project?

It's been a while of course but mostly I remember that Mr. Ramone was TALL. REALLY TALL. And I haven't been on that many tours; my parents were pretty settled by the time I was old enough to remember that stuff. Rat has all sorts of stories. Especially since he found out Mum took toddler-him with her when she snuck into Turkey to break Da and the band out.

It would be going squalling swerval except Spooky Things films in Vancouver. I need a backup plan. Rar.

Damn. Maybe they'll come back to L.A. if there's an actor's strike? ... Yeah, not so much. So not fair.

Considering how wee tiny you probably were, this is not shocking. I remember your size from Tiny People Weekend last year. (Which they just had. Again. Which was one reason why Bridge was calling at 2am. Why Xander let him is probably Xander just being Xander.)

Rat has all sorts of stories. Especially since he found out Mum took toddler-him with her when she snuck into Turkey to break Da and the band out.

AHA. And this is where 'banned in Turkey' comes from! I thought I remembered that from the documentary!

... wait, you got banned when you weren't even there? So not fair.

Yeh, and I got nothin' when it comes to ideas for a project. Sad Zero is sad.

I wonder if Peter was wee. I will have to ask him.

Okay, so, here's how it went. The Undertow's drummer got caught with weed and they threw the whole bunch of them in jail and no one was helping so Mum took matters into her own hands, snuck in, bribed the guards, then snuck them all out. With Rat in tow and Arsenal in the oven. And I think what happened was because of the Arsenal factor, but they went, "Fine, all banned." The end.

Sympathetic Parker is... thinking road trip.

Hunh. *examines thought* How soon does that thing have to be done?

I wonder if Peter was wee. I will have to ask him.

And if he stuck himself to the ceiling like May did with Racky.

Mid-May...why d'you ask?

HI ELIZABETH! My mum does rock, it's true.

The same sort of concept applies to Certain Clubs in New York. As Arsenal discovered to her dismay while she was in college. Oh, an' Mum says she was going to *tell* Rat about the Turkey thing, really she was, but he ran off. But he has to have wondered, I mean, it's on all our passports...

They have to leave town sometime. Or you could drive there. OR, I hear Tallest Spooky Thing likes Vegas. It's an option, anyway.

HI ELIZABETH! My mum does rock, it's true.

Tell her we said 'hi' and 'hullo.' And she's welcome to visit Oxford. I think I'm going to be stuck here all summer, with escapes for trips to see friends when Daddy is other places. Fourth of July in Blue Cove, of course.

I'm thinking of having Esme emigrate.

How long would the poor dear have to stay in quarantine? I mean, America to England, it can't be like Hong Kong to America, can it?

THIS BIT IS FOR ELIZABETH: Sorry, but Parker's right about the 'when hell freezes over,' bit. I remain on good terms with our bassist--I think, he's not the chattiest fellow--but the other two, how shall I put this? LEFT SQUALLING TOWN FOR GOOD right before a gig and informed me through e-mail. Which did not address the skipping out on the gig; it was a form e-mail they sent to everyone. My old old band, the Dusted Bunnies, are much more likely to get back together.[/bit for Elizabeth]

Take him to a cricket match? I bet he's never seen boring sports before.

Yay Vegas! Blackpool is nowhere near as cheezy fun.

They've relaxed the regs a bit for cats and dogs, and pet rabbits get that too. I realized that since I'm going to be here most of the next two years, I might as well get to keep my bunny wherever I want. The roomies don't mind, and it's allowed in Dolphin Hall, with a pet deposit ( ... )

That's fantastic! I'm sure no one would dare try to bunnynap her. Not if they want to live.

AHAHAHA rooming with you that's funny. But I thought you'd switched mainly to decaf since the *squalling bleeding ulcer*?

You'll be done a month before I am, damnit.

Yes, but I only got a week off. You've been off forever.
