Gorgeous, and so very true to Angel, because he can't let go of her, no matter how hard much he might think it's for the best. I love the contrast between his memories of Buffy and Spike; it rang very true. Angel draws such an absolute distinction between his life with a soul and his life without it, but there are always ways in which he conflates the two, just a little.

Loved it. Poignant and beautifully written.

her seemingly perfect life and the casual courage of false invincibility that came with her age.

That is just a beautiful way to describe being a teenager, and a way I've never heard it quite put before. I'm envious, and in love with it.
