Ok. That was incredible. Just a really moving portrait of all that Angel (and Lindsay)have endured and lost and yearned for...with wonderful, raw, lyrical language. Even if you don't buy into the A/L pairing (which I both do and don't), this is a riveting and accomplished piece. You should be very proud of it!
I appreciate that you read this and let me know your thoughts. I was nervous about how it read, since it ended up going somewhere I hadn't originally intended.
This was beautiful. And now that you've seen Buffy S2, I can say that the tone of this reminds me of Angelus's narration in "Passion". There's a wonderful momentum to the storytelling here. The darkness is lush and draws the reader in. The images are perfect. And I love the rapid retelling of the events of Angel's life in LA.
Ick. That's the ep everybody loves except for me. I'm not a big fan of musicals in general. I can admire the ep for it being an amazing show of Joss's talent (and the actors', too), but it just doesn't do it for me. :) Well, until the end, anyway. *g* The good stuff's coming, baby.
Wow. I read it and simply telling you it was beautiful, perfect and sad and awful and just wonderful just doesn't seem like enough, even though it is, indeed, all of that. Every word was just right, you know, in that I'm gonna tear your heart out and leave it bleeding on the cold bare floor kind of way.
So, instead, I'll pay you the pinnacle of compliments and it's only the second time I've ever done so. Tim Minear was the first recipient of it for the episode Home.
Oh, you bitch! I read your story. You made me cry for Angel. *sniffs* That's just so wrong!!!! Nobody should ever make moi cry for Angel. It's like the law or something. Man, I fucking hate your guts. Grrr! Arrgggg!
Is there an equlivent of an Emmy for fanfiction, dude? Cause if there is, I wanna know. Jesus wept.
Yes, it moved me. Very much. God, it ripped my heart out. I mean, fuck. *sighs*
Humph!

There was an author of fanfiction named Snow Whose talents every day seemed to grow Before I could build some kind of self-defense She made me cry for that damn Angel, the cheeky wench So upon her this awful limerick I do bestow
