Oh, no, you got me wrong. I wasn't referring to him not wanting to end his career, but the MOON project. I don't know whether you've felt it before, but I used to draw this manga story once and I was loath to end it (I still hadn't ._." It stopped on the last few pages) because... you just wish it can go on forever, you know? And mine is only a mini manga of aroud 100 pages. Imagine Gackt's MOON PROJEcT which already has 3 albums and a movie under it... I wouldn't want it to end either. .___.
^^ And as for him quitting, I do believe he will stay for some time yet. He is too Gackt (XD) to retire now.
I have always loved Vampires...I love his concept of what a Vampire means to him.
I really like his reasoning for starting with the end first and then giving us the beginning. It is so refreshing to see someone put so much effort and thought into their work. You dont see that with American bands. One of the reasons I like Gackt so much is because he is so involved. His work is interrelated and complicated. I like that. Having a story arc gives you something to look forward to. I also think that *because* I know it is part of a story arc, something bigger...that I am able to enjoy it to its fullest instead of tossing it to the side when I'm done playing with it.
I like that too. It really shows how much thought he has put into it, doesn't it? Imagine thinking up a story like that. @@;; Ah, I remember him saying that it comes as visions of sorts to him and I've always been curious as to what form he saw it in. Hmmmmm. Having a story does make it more meaningful. At times I have difficulty remembering that the album is also an album and not just a story. ^^;; It's a pity I wasn't here yet during the MOON album period, it will be awesome if I can get right into it from the start. :D As it is, I barely have time to keep up with the current MOON. Pity that.

And if you ask why I’ve been so focused on vampires all this while, it’s because even though their existence is the exact opposite of humans’, they are, at the same time, mirrors which reflect the filthy and evil side of human. I think humans are weak animals who live while comparing themselves with others and consequently feeling superior or inferior. However, to express that as it is (lit. lively; fresh; green; raw) would be too straightforward and instead becomes difficult to convey; besides, it’s not beautiful. But through the existence of vampires, the darkness in human can be expressed clearly and beautifully. Of course, that I myself love vampires is also part of the reason.
Ah, vampires kick ass...they have so many facets to them and that Gackt is treating them and viewing them as being whole beings and not monsters in this story is great. *smiles*
